How to create a course on Teachable?

Sign up for a Teachable account:

Visit the Teachable website and sign up for an account. Choose a plan that fits your needs, as Teachable offers various pricing tiers with different features.

Create your school:  

After signing up, create your online school by choosing a name and customizing the appearance. This will be the main platform where your courses will be hosted.

Plan your course:

Before creating content, determine the topic, target audience, objectives, and structure of your course. Outline the course curriculum, including sections, lectures, and various content formats (video, text, quizzes, etc.)

Create your course content: 

 a. Video lectures:

 Video is the primary content format on Teachable. Ensure your videos are clear, engaging, and professionally produced. Invest in a good microphone and camera, and consider using screen recording software if needed.

 b. Articles and PDFs: 

 Supplement video lectures with text-based materials, like articles or PDF documents, to provide additional information and resources for your students.

 c. Quizzes and assignments:

Add quizzes or assignments to help students assess their understanding of the material and apply their knowledge in a practical manner.

Edit and polish your content:

Ensure your content is well-organized, professionally presented, and free of errors. Edit your videos and articles for clarity and flow.

Set up your course on Teachable: 

 a. Create a new course: 

 Log in to your Teachable account and click on "Create a Course" to start building your course.

 b. Course information: 

 Add a course title, subtitle, and description. Make sure to use relevant keywords to help potential students find your course.

 c. Course image: 

Design an eye-catching course image that represents your course's subject matter and aligns with Teachable's image guidelines.

 d. Course curriculum: 

 Upload your content to the platform and organize it into sections and lectures. Add supplementary materials, quizzes, and assignments as needed.

 e. Pricing and promotions: 

Set a price for your course and consider creating promotional codes or discounts to encourage enrollment. 

Customize your sales page: 

Design an engaging sales page that highlights the benefits of your course, showcases your expertise, and addresses potential students' questions or concerns. Include testimonials, if available, to build credibility. 

Publish your course: 

Once your course is complete and the sales page is ready, publish your course by clicking on the "Publish" button in the course settings. 

Promote your course: 

Actively promote your course to attract students. Share your course on social media, through email marketing, or by collaborating with other instructors or influencers in your field.

Engage with your students: 

Respond to student questions, encourage discussions, and gather feedback to improve your course. Update your content regularly and maintain a strong presence on the platform to ensure a positive learning experience for your students.
